Saahil Desai is a journalist from Cincinnati, Ohio with bylines in the American Prospect, the Washington Monthly, and the Asia Society blog; he's also produced and edited stories for NPR. Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Saahil graduated with a B.A. from Pomona College in Public Policy Analysis/Politics, cum laude, and he just finished a summer internship at NPR’s Morning Edition, the nation's most popular radio show.
As the special projects editor at The Student Life, Pomona’s campus newspaper, he managed the publication's features section and its investigative reporting. His coverage of a battle over water rights in the city of Claremont was recognized at the National Campus Journalism Convention. Saahil co-hosted, edited, and produced a podcast/radio show called Hidden Pomona about the forgotten parts of Pomona’s history. Among other topics, he has reported on politics, higher education, sports, and Asian-American issues.
